ABOUT THE GAME

Get to the bottom of an intriguing mystery in Detective Pikachu Returns on Nintendo Switch. Join the detective in question and his cohort Tim to help solve the riddle of his missing partner, along with other curious incidents occurring within Ryme City.

Detective Pikachu
A gruff, tough-talking (but surprisingly loveable) Pikachu who loves coffee and calls himself a great detective.

Tim Goodman
Tim’s dad Harry also happens to be Detective Pikachu’s missing partner. This Ryme University student is also the only person who can understand and talk to the coffee-quaffing, private eye directly.

The patch patrolled by the renowned sleuthing duo is Ryme City – a picturesque metropolis where humans and Pokémon live side-by-side. During their investigations, they’ll visit a swanky manor, ancient ruins, and more – not forgetting the odd trip to Hi-Hat Café for a coffee fix, of course!

Search for clues
Investigate your surroundings and examine suspicious areas for evidence to help you get to the bottom of your current caper.

Interview witnesses
It’s always important to speak to bystanders, including people and Pokémon alike! Tim interviews the humans, while Detective Pikachu can talk to the Pokémon residents of Ryme City.

Instructions on redeeming a software download code in Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch.

An internet connection and Nintendo Account are required to access Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch.

Complete These Steps:

Select “Nintendo eShop” on the Buy Steam / Origin / Uplay / Xbox / PSN game keys / License keys Menu to launch Nintendo eShop.
Select the account you want to use.
Select “Redeem Code” on the left side of the screen.
Enter the 16-character download code.
- Some retailer cards for Nintendo Switch software will include both a Control Number and a Download Code. Make sure that you are entering the Download Code (usually begins with a B, no hyphens in the number) and not the Control Number (usually begins with an S, has hyphens).
- Any letters and symbols not used with prepaid codes (i.e. O, I, Z, commas, hyphens, etc.) will be disabled from the on-screen keyboard.
Select “Confirm”. The software will begin downloading once the code is confirmed.
- The software icon will appear on the Buy Steam / Origin / Uplay / Xbox / PSN game keys / License keys Menu, with a download status bar. The status bar will disappear once the game download is complete.
